Wonderland Celebration

Our house was bursting with imaginary fun today. Jenna's friends showed up ready for a fantastic party.  First, they made a flower garden in our entry way. Then, we plucked some white roses from that garden and painted them red. Then on to a Mad Hatter style tea party- except it wasn't an unbirthday! Jenna blew out the candle on her cupcake (pink and purple in lieu of a cheshire cat) and the girls ate mini ice cream cones and cupcakes until they were full.
Opening the presents is always chaos. I try to keep it organized but I'm convinced at this age everyone will either open the gift they brought themselves, or else they will ambush the birthday girl with their boxes and bags until she is buried so deep under the mess that she can't possibly dig herself out. Jenna managed to get them all opened and she cracks me up: she opens the cards with care and looks at them excitedly as if she were reading them thoroughly.
We watched a bit of Disney's Alice in Wonderland, but they didn't sit for long. Their attention gave way to dancing and running in circles around each other. What a great party. Thank you to all the moms who read my blog- Jenna loved having your daughters come to play.

Looks like Avi missed out BIG time!
She wishes she could have gone...I think she is still upset with me and my family.
She did find the Human Body Exhibit to be really interesting...But, I know she would have had more FUN at your House!....Hopefully next year!
