Happy Halloween

I just wanted to share a few pictures. We went to the pumpkin patch on Saturday and got some pumpkins. Family night on Monday the kids emptied the guts out of theirs, and picked out characters to carve into them. Ethan has a lightning McQueen pumpkin, and Jenna got Ariel. 

We have had a busy Halloween this year. Yesterday, Jenna had a class party at school. Last night was our ward party- we had a lot of fun and there were bunches of people there. Ethan is dressed in his pirate costume today for school because they are having their Harvest Festival this afternoon. And then we get to trick-or-treat tonight.

first haircut

Brooklyn got her first haircut this week. She was so funny, moving her head and pulling away from the water squirter. And she had no idea what was going on, but it sure was fun to try to get her to hold still.

Scarecrow Festival

This weekend was the annual Scarecrow Festival at Thanksgiving Point. It's such a fun fall activity. The West Ridge Academy (used to be the Utah boys Ranch) puts it on every year. It's a great program, so worth supporting by spending money at the festival.

The kids elected to dress up this year. Most kids there aren't in costume, but there were some. Ethan and Jenna were so happy to be dressed up, I don't think they cared that most people weren't.

They spent about an hour sliding down giant slides. 

They played carnival games, where Jenna won vampire teeth. We rode on a train, and while waiting in line for the train, Jenna made a new friend, Avery. I thought the two would be inseparable.

Their favorite attraction was, by far, the bungee trampolines. We waited in line for almost two hours so I'm glad they really liked it.

It's Officially October

It is snowing outside, and the leaves are going red! Beautiful. I love fall.
